Mother’s Day | All Kinds Of Everything
With this post I’d like to wish all mothers, a Happy Mother’s Day. You know it’s your special day. Your children should know it too. Woke up this morning to Mother’s Day – a date we have marked out for a celebration with our moms. It’s one date we know well in advance too, being the second Sunday in May. Of course there are different dates for other countries.
The first thing I’d like to know this morning is who has won last night’s Eurovision Song Contest 2014 that was held in Copenhagen. Why Eurovision on Mother’s Day? The reason is because I like to dedicate this 1970’s Eurovision winning song “All Kinds Of Everything” by Irish singer Dana to mothers every where. All kinds of everything reminds me of you – Mom – is for me a very appropriate song. Click here to watch Dana sing it for you :- If you’d curious to know, the winner of the Eurovision 2014 is a song by Conchita Wurst singing “Rise Like a Phoenix.” It is Austria’s first win. So there’s double celebrations today in Austria. Anna Jarvis, founder of Mother’s Day holiday in the United States, wrote of a “great Home Day of our country for sons and daughters to honour their mothers and fathers and homes in a way that will perpetuate family ties and give emphasis to true home life.” Anna has specifically noted that “Mother’s” should “be a singular possessive, for each family to honour its mother…” Today is your turn to honour your Mom 🙂 Related Posts : 1.) 5 Life Lessons From Mom ~ Retire – Do What? 2.)
