Malaysia Social Media Week 2015: Towards A Credible Social Media
I took a trip to my hometown Kuala Lumpur to visit my relatives and to sample the sought after KL street foods. On this special trip, I went to support my fellow Singaporean friends Andrew Chow and Grace Tan who were guest speakers at the 4th Malaysia Social Media Week (www.socialmediaweek.com.my). And I like the MSMW tag line: Engage, Educate, Entertain.
Grace gave me my 5 minutes of fame during the panel session “Bloggers Jam & Break”. Phew! When the applause came, so very spontaneous from the hospitable Malaysian audience, I mustered all the grace (pun intended) and expressed my appreciation and bowed to the audience. Thank you. I did nothing but for the fact that Grace had introduced me as her 67-year old blogging student who was placed in the Top Ten in the Best Individual Blog category of the Singapore Blog Awards 2014. Cool hugh!
Since starting on my Retire – Do What? Blog in September 2013, I have adopted the “Stay hungry, Stay foolish” philosophy to learn, including learning from my young friends in Gen Y.
This post is my first done on my iPhone 6. It is my first blog post on the road. I am on a coach returning home from KL. I am publishing it so that it is a real mobile post. ( To be continued at home). My coach will be stopping soon. Cheers
