Build Your Fulfilling Life And Career

A Daunting Challenge…
Using Mount Everest as my preferred metaphor for your one big goal, I am sharing this post as an inspiration for you to achieve your Everest. As any mountaineering adventurer will tell you, climbing Everest can be a daunting challenge. And so is building a fulfilling life and career. It takes courage, hard work, belief, persistence and dedication amongst other qualities.
A Road Map…
To achieve your big goal requires that you'll need to define and discover your true potential. The good news is that professor Robert S. Kaplan from the Harvard Business School has a practical approach to help you do just that. He is sharing it in his book 'What You're Really Meant to Do: A Road Map for Reaching Your Unique Potential'. If you want to understand yourself more deeply, take control of your career, and build your capabilities in a way that fits your passions and aspirations this book can help you change your life.
Oh The Places You'll Go!…
Before embarking on the book, I think it is very worth your while to relax your mind and be fired up with an inspirational video of just under seven minutes. It is based on a book 'Oh,The Places You'll Go!'. And I have my top three quotes to share:
  • “You have brains in your head. You have feet in your shoes. You can steer yourself any direction you choose. You're on your own. And you know what you know. And YOU are the one who'll decide where to go…”
  • “You're off to Great Places! Today is your day! Your mountain is waiting, So… get on your way!”
  •  “So be sure when you step, Step with care and great tact. And remember that life's A Great Balancing Act. And will you succeed? Yes! You will, indeed! (98 and ¾ percent guaranteed) Kid, you'll move mountains.”
  • The video will take you on a magical and inspirational journey to where you can go!  So, think you can, then you can…
