At the end of last year, I made a decision to post three times a week, and I am starting now! It’s difficult to keep new year resolutions, no matter how good the intentions.
The inventor Thomas Edison famously took a long time to invent the first commercially viable electric light bulb. When he was asked what it felt like to fail 1,000 times, Edison replied, “I didn’t fail 1,000 times. The light bulb was an invention with 1,000 steps.”
Unless you are as dedicated as Edison, it is most likely that you will NOT go through a thousand failed ways and still carry on. In an age of blinking fast changes, it’s so important to stay patient and be stubborn in your pursuits! Here’s my personal tip for you to achieve your goals and new year resolutions:
“Forget All The Reasons
Why It Won’t Work
And Believe The One Reason
Why It Will!”
I know that as the new year dawns and reality sets in, you will need an anchor and a firm belief to stay on track.
My experience has taught me that you need inspirational thoughts to move forward when times are tough! Those two inspiring lines have become my anchor and belief. And when I first read them, I understood why I could not hold my patience when all I heard was “cannot be done.”
Here’s to 2015!
