Before I retired, I was a Big Potato in Singapore Airlines. And this is my story, and I hope it will serve to encourage young people to improve their Resilience Quotient so that they can be courageous when facing the two dreaded R’s: Retrenchment and unplanned Retirement.
It is commonplace these days to be told “Learn, Unlearn and Relearn” during a motivational seminar. The “resilience” I am sharing about in this blog post is about returning to a stronger position than before once you step out the door.
